PhD Fellowship (FPI-MINECO) at IBGM – Valladolid
4 years PhD contract to join the group of Subcellular Ca2+ homeostasis in the Institute of Biology and Molecular Genetics – IBGM from the University of Valladolid – UVA, Valladolid (Spain).
The PhD project will focus on the relationship between the activity of nutrient-sensitive signaling pathways (mainly insulin and IGF-1, AMP kinase (AMPK), mTOR kinase and sirtuins), the dynamics of intracellular calcium signaling and the binomial of aging and longevity. Studies will be performed both in cell cultures and in live C. elegans worms..

Eligibility
Candidates must be able to start a doctoral program in the 2015-2016 academic year. We look for candidates with a high degree of motivation and interest in a multi-disciplinary scientific training, including biochemistry, molecular and cell biology and cell and organism physiology.
