Proteolysis Lab, Molecular Biology Institute of Barcelona (IBMB), CSIC (Dr. Xavier Gomis-Rüth)
A position is available for a Ph.D. student to work in protein biochemistry and molecular biology. The hosting place is the Proteolysis Lab. of the Molecular Biology Institute of Barcelona (IBMB) from the Spanish Research Council (CSIC) in Barcelona (Spain). The IBMB is located within the premises of the Barcelona Science Park (PCB), a major pole for excellence in research in biomedicine of the Barcelona area. Tasks will include cloning, overexpression, and purification of proteins, as well as functional assays in biochemistry / molecular biology.
Required
- Previous experience in protein biochemistry and molecular biology
- Candidates should either already have a related Master’s degree or be currently engaged in one
Funding
Provided by one of 800 FPU fellowship, for which the candidate will have to apply. Special conditions apply for eligibility (see FPU Call below). Only candidates with a very high average mark will have a fair chance.
