Our study reveals that neutrophils infiltrate virtually every organ even in the absence of infection or inflammation. The image shows neutrophils (in green) that have infiltrated a naïve spleen and localize in specific areas called “red pulp” that are heavily irrigated by blood vessels (red). Blue shows nuclei.
