Predoctoral Position in Protein Biophysics

The group of Biophysics and Molecular Biotechnology of the University of Granada is offering a predoctoral position to a highly qualified and motivated graduate student who wish to perform PhD studies in protein biophysics.
The student will participate in the following two research projects from the National Programme of R&D+i of the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness – MINECO:
- Project 1: “Structural and Thermodynamic Determinants of Amyloid-Beta Oligomers Cytotoxicity. Implications in Alzheimer’s Disease” (BIO2013-40697-R), ongoing untill December 2017.
- Project 2: “Design and development of novel HIV inhibitors based on mimetic proteins of gp41”, recently awarded and running until the end of 2019.
The candidates must hold a masters degree, either in Chemistry, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or any other related area. They should also have a track record of academic excellence that will allow them to apply to the FPU fellowships programme. A good English language command will be also positively evaluated.
